Polynode Cycles
Designed as an instrument, Cycles explores the concept of ‘cycles’ through its physical form and system of digital nodes. Using ongoing circular patterns moving in sound and light, it investigates how cycles affect our phenomenological experience. How does the progression of cycles affect our perception of time, and how can we recognize their existence withinthe systems that surround us? The installation uses a 20-minute generative composition to introduce observers to a state of “observational flow”.

The Polynode series investigates the relationship of complex digital systems and the spaces that we occupy. It invites us to engage with digital fields that stretch through space, and explore how we interface with the behavior that it exhibits.
