Polynode Phase
"Phase" is a new form exploration within the Polynode series. It consists of a double-layered array that creates a volume of negative space. Phase-shifting lateral movements form shapes that exist only in our perception, while longitudinal motion reveals itself only in part. The installation invites us to engage with digital fields stretching through space and questions how we interface with its behaviour. The installation uses virtual nodes in a digital array that express themselves through light and sound. As patterns interact with these nodes, they generate spatially mapped audio along the body of the work.

At its core, Polynode acts as a spatial instrument in which neither light nor sound acts as the origin of the behavior that is being displayed.
