Proximare

Proximare is an architectural intervention using of two circles of alternating size, that act as the trajectory for travelling sources of light. The two circles are positioned acentric. As light sources are orbiting, they naturally come closer and move away from each other. Through this act, they attract and push each other away. Generative sound makes the relationship between the sources audible, adding a sonic element to the motion.

A system caught in a cycle of attraction and withdrawal. Drawn together, held apart, orbiting each other without collision.

Light sources fall and climb in altitude, circling around the balcony. The sources in both rings attract and repel. Relative distance is their common language, creating a sonic narrative of endless approach.
